Digital and Social Media Marketing Coordinator and Easy Read Producer 

My roles are:

Producing marketing material including; newsletters, posters, promotional leaflets, information leaflets and adverts etc.

Co-ordinating the website and blog and managing our social media sites. Co-ordinating the filming of our social media videos.

Designing signage, from external building signage to banners for exhibition stands.

Organising the Awards Ceremony and Celebration Day.

Producing easy read material and producing the Future Directions CIC Newsletters.

Dignity and Care and Complex Needs

Through my work as Dignity In Care lead and supporting people with complex health needs. I support staff to ensure we have a zero tolerance to lack of dignity and that support staff have information, advice and support to improve standards of care. I also ensure that staff have a full understanding of what their role is in relation to promoting dignity in care and how to support individuals with complex needs. Ensuring they lead full and meaningful lives.

Paul Lord

Learning and Development Manager

Paul is a Registered Nurse with well over 35yrs experience in working within Health & Social Care. During this time he held a number of key clinical and managerial positions and has, within these posts always aspired to the delivery of services that were centered around the people who used those services.  In March 2016 he retired from the Director of Operations position and returned to Future Directions, on a part-time basis as the Training and Development Manager. He is also the line manager for the Positive Behavioral Support Lead.

Specialist Services

I am a registered nurse with 20 years experience working within Health & Social Care supporting people with complex needs and mental health needs.  I am the Registered Manager of Grange Avenue Specialist Support Service and provide clinical leadership to 2 residentials with nursing services.  I have worked with a wide range of individuals with varying degrees of needs including supporting individuals to move to a community setting from long stay hospital settings as part of the Transforming Care Agenda.

Since 2001 worked in supporting people with learning disabilities and Mental Health needs and or complex and challenging behaviour as a Team Leader and Network Manager. Employment Lead, supporting people to find paid and voluntary work. Practice Educator/Mentor for social work and Nursing students. Assessor and Verifier. BSC Behaviour Analysis currently train staff on positive behaviour support.

Pete Begley

Autism Consultant

As autism lead specialist my role includes developing and providing training on autistic spectrum conditions. Additionally, I have expertise in supporting teams to develop positive autism approaches for individuals within their own tenancies. This involves ensuring that the support an individual receives focuses on understanding the differing needs of people on the autistic spectrum. Recent work included gaining ‘Autism Accreditation’ (N.A.S.) for two of the schemes in which we provide support.

Service Transition Manager

I am a registered Nurse and have been working for over 30 years with people with learning disabilities, mental health needs and forensic histories within health and social settings.

As Service Transition Manager I am involved in working closely with the people we support, families, staff and other professionals to project manage the set up and establishment of new services and instilling the Future Directions values.

It is important to me to focus on the individual's needs, wants, desires and goals so they are always at the centre of the support they receive.
