I have set up and now maintain the Governance information reporting process for all services.

I analyse the Governance information each month, calculate compliance figures and chase up what is out of date to improve compliance.

I calculate the compliance figures for mandatory training and chase up outstanding training each month to improve compliance.

I complete the monthly report for the Board of Directors to show our performance against our targets.

I manage the agenda and minute the monthly Governance meeting.

I manage the Service Audit Calendar to check our policies and procedures are being followed and identified actions are completed.

I co-ordinate and minute the Relatives and Friends Meeting every 6 months.

My roles are:

Producing marketing material including; newsletters, posters, promotional leaflets, information leaflets and adverts etc.

Co-ordinating the website and blog and managing our social media sites. Co-ordinating the filming of our social media videos.

Designing signage, from external building signage to banners for exhibition stands.

Organising the Awards Ceremony and Celebration Day.

I carry out the following:

Bookings and allocations of staff onto training.

Monitors attendance and reporting there attendance and absence to Team Managers and Network Managers.  

Manages and updates Training on People Planner.

Reports to Team Managers and Network Managers monthly on ‘red/amber’ Physical Intervention, Appraisals and annual H & S/Safeguarding.

Coordinates additional college courses i.e. Level 2 distance learning and Health & Social Care Dips enrolments.

Reporting, as required, by Team Managers, Network Managers and Service-Development Manager.

Member of Training and Development team and minute-taker for monthly meetings.

Member of People Planner Project group and minute-taker for monthly meetings.

Minute-taker for weekly Network Manager Meetings.

Geraldine Dawson

Human Resources Manager

My role involves managing the day to day HR support to Future Directions management and staff.  Working with managers on operation and employment relations issues eg: disciplinaries, grievances, absence management and probation reviews.

There are 3 of us in the department and we organize recruitment events with the team managers, co coordinating interviews and processing all related recruitment checks. 

We deal with all queries relating to Personal details, contracts, paternity, maternity, references etc.

I also deliver the monthly induction session for new starters.

Julie Parkinson

Human Resources Officer

My role involves supporting managers and staff with disciplinary’s, grievances, absence, welfare meetings and reviews.

My areas are Trafford, Manchester, Stockport and Oldham.

The HR team organise recruitment events with team managers, co-ordinate interviews and process relevant recruitment checks and paperwork.

I deal with staff queries relating to maternity, paternity, personal details, pay and contracts.

I enjoy my role and the HR team I work within.

Danielle O'Neill

Financial Controller

I report to the Director of Finance and supervise all aspects of the financial and management accounts for the company. This includes budget setting, monitoring and reporting, cash management, banking, AR, AP and year end liaison with external audit. I am a CIMA qualified accountant with ten years post qualification experience in both the NHS and the private sector.

I joined Future Directions in January 2018 as a graduate on the Skills for Care Graduate Scheme. I then joined permanently in 2019 as part of the Business Development Team.

As Business Development Coordinator, I am involved in developing new business opportunities. This includes working closely with people we support, families, staff, and other professionals in the development of new services. I am also involved in our customer engagement strategy. I lead the assistive technology project, finding tools to support the people we support to live more independently. It is important to me to enable the people we support to live the lives they want.

Administrator at Stanley Grange

I am the Administrator at Stanley Grange and provide secretarial support to all Managers on site.  I pull reports for the managers on staff training and liaise with Abbi regarding the booking of courses, update training on People Planner, input room bookings for meetings as required, report any repairs needed on site to properties and support the people we support to access workshops in the community if no other drivers are available.  If I can't help then I will put you in contact with the right person.

HR Officer

As the HR Officer at Future Directions I am responsible for finding staff of excellent quality to support the people we support. I am in charge of the recruitment which involves keeping in regular contact with the Operational Network Managers to ensure vacancies are filled. It is extremely important to me that the people I’m recruiting have the right values to ensure the people we support have the best possible support. I am also studying towards the level 5 CIPD in the hope to gain more experience in Human Resources.
