National Volunteers’ Week is an opportunity to celebrate volunteering in all its diversity.

Here at Future Directions we are committed to volunteering and we recognise the important role that volunteering can play in the lives of the people we support. 

Volunteering has the ability to change lives for the better. Please watch our film to see the amazing impact and positive difference that volunteering makes to the lives of people we support and to their local communities.

Volunteering is also a great way to open the door to new opportunities. It connects people to others, and by being social and active it can help improve people’s well-being. Furthermore, volunteering can be an excellent way to develop new skills, meet new friends, and give people a real sense of purpose. It can make people feel good and feel valued as members of their local community.
