Volunteering at Future Directions

4th June 2019 |

1st - 7th June is National Volunteers’ Week. Run by the National Council for Voluntary Organisations, it is a time to recognise and celebrate the fantastic contribution made by the millions of people who volunteer across the UK.

Here at Future Directions we would like to take this opportunity to send a special thank you to all our amazing volunteers who contribute their time, knowledge and skills to support us.

Volunteers can make a real difference to the lives of the people we support and enables us to add real value to the work we do and live out our values.

There are lots of reasons why people volunteer with us. Watch our film to see how it’s a brilliant way to meet new people, develop your confidence and make a positive difference.

Furthermore, all our volunteers are offered training and on-going support so it is a great way to develop your skills and build experience. In return, it is a great way for us to strengthen our community connections and enrich the lives of the people we support.

Our volunteers enable us to achieve so much more and we want to say thank you to all our volunteers, and if you’re not volunteering yet, we have lots of opportunities available so come and join us and get involved.
