Quality and Compliance Officer
Future Directions CIC have an amazing opportunity to join our Quality and Compliance team based in Chadderton!
We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Quality and Compliance Officer to join our high performing Quality and Compliance team. We are seeking values driven candidates to be a ‘Critical friend’ undertaking all aspects of Quality Assurance including inspections to ensure Future Directions CIC is compliant with all legislation including CQC regulations.

The Role
This critical role is vital to Future Directions vision and values. Our Quality and Compliance team work tirelessly to ensure a consistently high standard of care is delivered to everyone supported by the organisation. In this varied role, you will look at all aspects of our services identifying areas for improvement, best practice and areas of excellence. We are looking for someone who is absolutely passionate about driving quality improvement, focused on the detail, with strong coaching abilities, and exceptional communications skills. The ideal candidate will be flexible so we can continue to support our staff and managers to deliver outstanding support to people around the clock. Main Duties and Responsibilities
- To be a ‘Critical friend’ undertaking all aspects of Quality Assurance including inspections using CQC inspection framework and KLOES to ensure Future Directions CIC is compliant with all legislation including CQC regulations.
- To increase own (and others i.e. managers) knowledge and understanding of current legislation including CQC regulations as applicable to Future Directions CIC.
- To assist The Quality & Compliance Lead and other Quality & Compliance colleagues to undertake a variety of tasks (audits, inspections, support, coaching and mentoring) essential to the delivery of high quality regulatory activities, relevant to standards required for each CQC registered/unregistered service within Future Directions CIC.
- To mitigate risk to people who are supported and to Future Directions CIC by assisting the Quality & Compliance Team to respond promptly to safety concerns and identified risks.
- To pro-actively engage with all departments of Future Directions CIC, internal and external stakeholders, that contribute to the delivery of a successful organisation.
- To provide support/’buddy’ functions including coaching, mentoring to new managers as part of their induction and current managers to enable them to continually improve their services.
- To undertake making barring referrals to the Disclosure and Barring Service in a timely manner whilst also undertaking audit of the process.
- To role model and live out Future Directions CIC’s values and behaviours.
Please note for internal candidates the position will be offered as a 12 month secondment and internal applicants must have passed their probationary period.
