Buckingham Palace Garden Party Invite for Eric

This May, the Royal Family will be hosting two garden parties at Buckingham Palace. In recognition of his work with Bild (the British Institute of Learning Disabilities), Eric has been invited to the second one on the 20th May.

Eric, who we support in Altrincham, is part of the Bild for the Future group. This is an advisory group made up of people with learning disabilities and autistic people. Working with Bild’s board of trustees, Eric helps the Bild team to achieve their aims and make sure the voices of people with learning disabilities and autistic people are heard.

Being invited to a Royal Garden Party is a great honour as nominations have strict rules. Local authorities and organisations can nominate people to attend the garden parties via NALC (the National Association of Local Councils). Later, The Royal Family chooses its guests.

Eric is one of 8,000 guests on the 20th May 2025 Garden Party. On his invite, he says he will tell people about being a Green Superhero, his work with Bild, and our SPICE Group. He will look forward to meeting different people from different places. For him, the trip to London, with an overnight stay will be novel.
