We have an exciting new opportunity for a Volunteer Coordinator to develop, promote and manage volunteering at Future Directions. This is a brilliant chance to join a values-driven team and make a real difference to the people we support. This post would suit somebody who is enthusiastic, motivated and enjoys having a positive impact on people’s lives.
We have a range of diverse and flexible volunteering opportunities at Future Directions to meet the needs of our organisation, the people we support and volunteers themselves. An important aspect of the Volunteer Coordinator role is to develop and promote volunteering opportunities for people we support: these include people with learning disabilities, autistic people, and people with complex needs.
The post-holder will be the main point of contact for volunteers and manage volunteer recruitment and support. They will develop new volunteering opportunities and promote them within Future Directions and to external organisations. They will also develop methods of recognising and appreciating volunteers for their contributions.
An Enhanced DBS will also be a requirement.
